Do I need a website to use Oskar?
No. Oskar generates a hosted booking page for you automatically.
Customise it under Booking Page Setup and share your link anywhere.
Can clients book multiple services at once?
Yes. Enable Multi-Booking & Cart so clients can add multiple items to their cart and check out in a single payment.
How do I accept deposits or partial payments?
You can require deposits when creating a service or event.
Go to Payments to configure your rules.
Split payments (e.g. 20 % now, 80 % later) are coming soon.
What happens if I delete a resource or service?
Existing bookings remain valid and can still be fulfilled, but new bookings can’t be made.
To keep history intact, archive services instead of deleting them.

Setup & Configuration

How do I add staff or team members?
Go to Staff to invite colleagues.
Assign roles (Owner, Manager, Staff) to control permissions.
What’s the difference between services and events?
Services are flexible, duration-based bookings tied to a resource’s availability.
Events are fixed-time sessions with capacity limits.

Can I create recurring bookings?
Yes, you can schedule recurring events (up to 100 occurrences) via Recurring & Overnight Bookings.
Recurring service appointments are planned for a future update.
How do I handle overnight stays?
When creating a service for accommodations, set the booking duration to “Nights.”
Oskar automatically blocks the arrival night and frees the departure day.

Payments & Refunds

Which payment methods are supported?
Oskar integrates with Stripe for cards and bank payments.
You can also offer offline options (cash or invoice) in Set Payment Methods.
How do refunds work?
Process refunds through Stripe in Left Menu → MANAGE → Orders.
Clients receive a confirmation email, and Stripe processes payouts based on their policy.

Can I sell add-ons or extras?
Absolutely. Add extras in Services — for example “Premium Helmet” or “Breakfast.”
They’ll appear as optional items during checkout.

Booking Page & Notifications

How do I embed my booking page on my website?
Copy the embed code from Embed Link & QR Code and paste it into your website.
You can also generate a QR code for print materials or displays.
How do I change the look and feel of my booking page?
Customise colours, images, and section order in Customize Layout and Images & Branding.
How do I send reminders and notifications?
Manage emails and SMS in Settings under Notifications.
For strategies to reduce no-shows, check Reduce No-Shows.
Can clients manage their own bookings?
Yes. Clients can reschedule or cancel directly via their confirmation link — within your cancellation policy.
Self-service saves you time and reduces back-and-forth messages.

How do I export bookings or customer data?

Is my data secure?
Yes. Oskar uses industry-standard encryption and strict role-based access control.
Only authorised users can view sensitive data.
