How to Set Up Stripe Connect
- Access Settings: Log into your Oskar account and go to Organization Menu (top left) > Settings > Payment & Checkout.
- Connect Stripe: Click Connect under Online Payments and follow the prompts to set up your Stripe Connect account.
- Enter Details:
- Provide your email address.
- Select your business type (e.g., sole trader, corporation, non-profit).
- Verify your personal and company information.
- Verification: Stripe verifies your account, typically within 15 minutes to a few hours. Once approved, online payment options are available in Oskar.
- Enable Payments: In Left Menu > MANAGE > Services or Events > Payment & Checkout, toggle on ‘Enable payments’ and then ‘Accept online payments for this service’ to allow clients to pay during booking.
How Payments Work
- Supported Payment Methods: Accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay*, Google Pay*, SOFORT, giropay, iDEAL and TWINT, and PayPal. (*Available on compatible devices only; not supported in widgets for security reasons.)
- Payouts: Funds, minus standard Stripe fees, are credited to your Stripe Connect account. Payouts to your bank account are released one day after the booking date, at least four business days after payment, or within 90 days, based on your Stripe settings.
- Refunds: Process automatic refunds based on your cancellation policies in Left Menu > MANAGE > Orders. Ensure sufficient funds in your Stripe account for refunds.
- Payout Options: Set automatic or manual payouts in your Stripe Connect dashboard. Oskar provides account statements for each payout.
Managing Your Stripe Connect Account
- In your Stripe Connect dashboard, go to Payout Details and select Oskar OS Software GmbH.
- Edit payout settings using the pencil icon to customize your bank account details.
