# Team Members

> Invite your team, set roles, assign services, and manage availability.

Your team is at the heart of your business — and Oskar gives you a dedicated module to manage them clearly and efficiently.

Instead of treating staff as generic “resources,” the new **Team Members** module provides full profiles, permissions, availability, and service assignments tailored specifically to people.\
Find it here:\
**Left Menu → MANAGE → Staff**

***

## Add a Team Member

Go to **Staff → Invite Team Member**.\
Enter:

* **Name**
* **Email** (for login and notifications)
* **Phone** (optional)
* **Role** — *Owner, Manager, or Staff*
* **Event permissions** (toggle if they can manage events)

Oskar sends an automatic invite email so they can join your workspace.

***

## Set Roles & Permissions

Each role controls what the team member can access:

### **Owner**

Full access to everything — settings, services, payments, staff, and bookings.

### **Manager**

Can create and manage:

* Bookings
* Customers
* Resources
* Services
* Events\
  They cannot access billing or subscription details.

### **Staff**

Can manage:

* Their own appointments
* Their assigned resources
* Their assigned services

Perfect for instructors, cleaners, stylists, therapists, coaches, or anyone who shouldn't see financial or account settings.

Monitor team actions via the\
**[Activity Log](/guides/smart-tips-and-growth/analytics#activity-log)**\
for accountability.

You can fine-tune access under **Staff → Access Control**.

***

## Assign Services & Resources

Each team member can be linked to:

* The services they deliver (e.g., *Haircut*, *Therapeutic Massage*)
* Any physical resources they use (e.g., *Treatment Room A*)

Go to:\
**Staff → \[Team Member] → Assigned Services / Assigned Resources**

This ensures clients only see relevant staff when booking certain offerings.

***

## Set Working Hours & Time Off

Define your team member’s schedule under:\
**Staff → \[Team Member] → Schedule & Availability**

Here you can:

* Set weekly working hours
* Add breaks
* Add vacation days
* Add one-off closures
* Set remote staff time zones (if applicable)

Oskar automatically prevents double-booking based on these rules.

***

## Booking Capacity (Single or Shared)

If a staff member works with:

* **One client at a time**, choose **Single Booking**
* **Groups**, like fitness instructors or teachers, choose **Shared Booking** and set maximum capacity

Find this under:\
**Staff → \[Team Member] → Booking Capacity**

***

## Profile & Visibility

Each team member gets a public profile:

* Photo
* Bio
* Specialties
* Published or Draft status

Toggle visibility in:\
**Staff → \[Team Member] → Basic Information → Publish Resource**

If you need them hidden from the Booking Page:

* Turn off **Publish Resource**, or
* Set them to **Admin Only** under:\
  **Organization Menu → Customize Booking Page**

***

## Notifications

Each team member controls what notifications they receive:

* New bookings
* Cancellations
* Payment confirmations
* Daily summaries

You can adjust defaults under:\
**Staff → \[Team Member] → Notifications**

***

## When to Use the Staff Module vs. Resources?

Use **Team Members** when the bookable item is a **person**.\
Use **Resources** for **rooms, vehicles, equipment, courts, or any physical item**.

***

## Checkpoint

✔ Team invited\
