Understanding Oskar’s terminology helps you navigate the system with confidence.\
This glossary defines the most common terms you’ll encounter.

| Term                    | Definition                                                                                                    |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Resource**            | A person or physical item that can be booked — for example, a room, staff member, or piece of equipment.      |
| **Service**             | The activity or offering clients book and pay for — such as a haircut, massage, or training session.          |
| **Event / Class**       | A group session with a defined schedule and capacity — for example, a yoga class, workshop, or seminar.       |
| **Booking**             | A confirmed reservation combining a service or event with a resource and time slot.                           |
| **Add-on**              | An optional extra that can be added to a service for an additional price.                                     |
| **Capacity**            | The maximum number of people or bookings allowed for a resource or service at one time.                       |
| **Buffer**              | Extra time automatically added before or after a booking for setup, cleaning, or transition.                  |
| **Deposit**             | A partial payment collected at the time of booking; the balance is paid later.                                |
| **Cancellation Policy** | The rules that define if and when a client can cancel and whether a fee applies.                              |
| **Staff**               | Team members who deliver services or manage resources.                                                        |
| **Customer Profile**    | The record storing a customer’s contact details, bookings, payments, and notes.                               |
| **Quick Access Cards**  | Dashboard shortcuts linking directly to major modules like Bookings, Calendar, or Resources.                  |
| **Waitlist**            | A list that holds potential attendees when an event is full; clients are automatically added when spots open. |
